Welcoming our UMA is incomplete without Lotus. Sandhi Puja, the most essential part of Durga Puja, is performed at the juncture of Ashtami and Nabami tithi where 108 lotuses are offered to Maa Durga. Another name of Lotus is Nalini, hence the name of our next saree in the UMA series.
Hand embroidered lotuses and its leaves on Bishnupuri Silk, in an uncommon color combination is an ode to the ritual of Sandhi Pujo.
